GREYSCALE „When The Ghosts Are Gone”

This cd was sent to me by a friend. I have never heard of this band till now but found it to bee a pleasent listen. I would in no means consider them a hard core metal act or even a power metal band but they are solid. The sounds that come from this disc are a mixture of many sounds. The music is layered very well with a blend of rich bass and drum work with a very catchy guitar sound. This cd also has some of the most hypnotic keyboards I have heard in a long time. There is nothing fast or flashy about them just clean and smooth.
The vocals are very clean but yet have a very haunting sound to them. On a few of the tracks he almost steps over into the Goth or the death metal sound but only enough to catch your attention. This band sets a tone with this cd that would catch the attention of any melodic metal fan but at the same time has enough of the power metal element to it to hold the attention of any power metal fan. If you are into bands such as MOB RULES, RHAPSODY, and the likes you might enjoy this band. They are in no way speed, thrash, or power metal but if you are looking for something different and solid but with a very clean sound this disc may appeal to you. This band is good not awesome but good and it will be a treat to see what this band can do in the future. Being a power metal fan I did not think that I would enjoy this disc but I was wrong. this is the kind of disc I like when I need a break from all the heavy in heavy metal.
