UNSOLVED MYSTERIES „“UFOs” Vol 2 Screener”

Although not everyone shares the Fox Moulder “I want to believe” perspective regarding the existence of extraterrestrials, most share at least a basic curiosity or healthy skepticism regarding the subject. Disk 1 of the 4 DVD set includes accounts of UFO sightings , abductions and unexplained phenomena to pique your interest regardless of which of the three categories you fall under. From UFO sightings in Phoenix, Vancouver, Mexico and England, to the Allagash wilderness abductions, the authors provide non-bias perspectives, eyewitness accounts, and analysis that allow the viewer to draw your own conclusions. The high points of Disk 1 are as follows:

Accounts dozens of crop circles, up to 100 feet in diameter, etched in the Canadian countryside are presented along with the popular guesses regarding their formation (UFO landing map, prank, freak act of nature, etc.). The concentric layout and raw size and geometry of the shapes hardly lend themselves to construction from the ground.. In classic “Unsolved Mysteries” form Robert Stack lays-out the data along with possible explanations in a “matter of fact” non-bias, manner that avoids the snares of such controversial issues.

Another of the most interesting re-enactments on disk 1 is that of four men who reported a “loss of time” experience during a camping trip in the Allagash River area of northern Maine. Their last recollections are of rowing to shore at their campsite. One spots an unidentified shape in the sky and the men attempt to out-row the approaching object, then awake disoriented on-shore. During independent interviews the potential abducties’ accounts of alien abduction matched almost to the letter. Considering these accounts were gained under hypnosis and prior to any chance to coordinate stories between the men, evidence of an actual abduction becomes quite compelling.

The most intriguing of the disk’s content (for me personally) is their account of the “Nazca Lines” located at Peru’s Nazca Plateau. An area of 100 square miles with hundreds of arrow-strait lines with 90 and 45 degree angles as if created by the hand of some god-sized draftsman. These bizarre geoglyphs include gigantic figures of engraved fish, spiders, plant, humans and geometric, anthropomorphous whose only creators (outside extraterrestrial intercession) would be the Nazca inhabitants between 200 BCE and 600 CE. Added to the general complexity and overwhelming size of these geoglphs is the fact that this sandless area of the Peruvian dessert is comprised of stony sub toil resembling a desert pavement (for lack of a better term). Such an undertaking would have required hundreds of years, and masses of people working (especially considering the crude tools that would have been available at this time). The sheer magnitude and complexity have, perhaps naturally, led to speculative leap that extraterrestrials either constructed or directed the project.

A number of the events presented in the popular television show are now no longer unsolved. Therefore, the producers releasing only the best of the yet unsolved UFO mysteries results in a gripping collection of unexplained phenomena. All accounts presented in 5.1 Surround Sound and 4:3 Full Screen Format with Behind the Scenes extras make this set a must have for anyone harboring curiosity toward the unexplained.
