Italians have in themselves many romanticism and melancholy in connection with suitable dose of anger! Shakespeare already spoke about this, hahaha
The members of SOUL TAKERS (in the band are the two beautiful sisters except the men, Federica plays the piano and Francesca plays the guitar) occupied expression of these emotional states. Additionally on the material appeared guest musicians
“Tides” is the very complex material, including many progressive metal's phrases enriched with the strong breath of classic music. Those classic breath was created by the parties of the piano, the violins and the cello.
The 12 songs are characterized the deep melancholy, the sadness and even here and there the depression. The vocal parties as well as the rich melodies of the guitars and instruments' classic verbalize these emotional states. Sometimes the classic's instruments create the prelude for the ballads or the heavier arrangements. The singing of Dino is embedded in the high tone, what it brings the nostalgic mood. The vocal ideally harmonizes with the flowing melodies as well as with the more dynamic parties of guitars and the rhythmical section which they also have the one's essential place here, what is symbolizes by the emotional burst of passion like raptus melancholicus
so, you don't think that is deficit of stronger knocks of the instruments here, although it is the music reducing humor decidedly, rather by the specific melodies and their content than by the tempo, because the tempo often flows slowly but it is able to speed up.
On the disc there is the video clip of “Tides”, what it is the nice addition of the CD.
