It has been a while since I have reviewed something gothic or even doom. I wasn't really familiar with COS until I have given them a listen. There has been no biography available or even a proper homepage for this band so you can explore
but thats ok!
COS hails from Poland. To be honest I dont know if they even had any previous or new albums, but I read somewhere that they have been dooming since 1983, and I dont think that they have made anything new for the time been.
“Prelude To A Sentimental Journey” is great doom/gothic album in the doom and gothic temples. The album is mixture of dark, gory, symphonic, bloomy songs. Songs like The chess at the foot of the mountain sounds like they were casting a spell or something.
They have a special tone of their own, which I find very interesting. Dark vocaling that sounds like Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell vocals). These kinds of vocaling that leaves a deep effect inside your ears. Dark, grunts and growls. The perfect atmosphere for dark tones
Fans of Moonspell and dark tones, this is the perfect band for you.
