I have been a fan for a while to the Finnish music scene, but soon I noticed that most of bands have the same sense and bit coldness in their music and tones. I didn’t had to give a listen to this band once I knew they were with Spikefarm, coz most of the band in this record company, sounds the same. But Rapture has a bit exception.

Their clean vocal sounds a bit similar to Nick Holmes from Paradise Lost. They also have the touch of Daylight Dies which is something I like, since I love Daylight Dies.

But I was never a fan of their own instruments especially the drums. I don’t know was it the drummer or his drums. I wasn’t a fan either of their own growling vocals.

Lyrical, they are mixture of gothic and ‘over-and-over’ lyrics. Meaning, they didn’t write something that impressive or new. Words we hear everyday. They are good arrangers; whether in their own singing or even in their own music.

Anyhow, they have good music and style and of course talents. But they should work on being catchy.
