“On All 4's” is the fourth album of the international band M.I.C. . What can I say about their next release? As always I will be subjective, because I am not a fan of such music. I mean the rowdy melodic Rock with influences of Rock & Roll, Blues, and maybe of Country. The Rock music, whose the roots went back to date of the 70's – such in style ZZ TOP or DIRE STRAIS, maybe a bit of DEF LEPPARD …
Well, Rock like Rock … with the sharp guitars, the dynamic with a the simple steady rhythms, with the sharp melodic solos. The music is led by the melodic vocals (with hoarse sound). The arrangements are very classical – there are the introductions, the stanzas, the refrains, the solos, the developing of themes and the repetitions until the end of the song … The whole oscillates around the average paces, everything is rather balanced without some crazy vocal outbursts. The guitar's solos are only bursts of instruments of course … Overall, nothing special … Simply – Classic Rock was played well.
As my neighbour Maggy sometimes helps me with reviews and this time I gave her next album of M. I. C to listening. Here is her words: “Well, I can say about this album the same like about the previous album, so I send back you to the previous review. I expect that some band will make progress with the every next album. However this does not need to mark the total change, but an album should make surprise. In this case the music is very predictable. The music can make pleasure for somebody but not for me. It makes me boredom. But I confirm – “On All 4's” is good for some home party. However, if I was listened “On All 4's” before the previous album then I would be delighted of “On All 4's”…”
