Former Pulse Ultra Guitarist Dominic Cifarelli is in the final mixing stage of his debut solo album, a semi instrumental guitar masterpiece, based on a story he created, and the first part of an ongoing series entitled The Chronicles of Israfel.
Cifarellis rise to fame started as guitarist of Montreal metal band Pulse Ultra whos 2002 debut album release Headspace earned them a slot of the second stage of the 2002 Ozzfest alongside bands such as System of A Down, Meshuggah, Ozzy Osbourne and White Zombie among many others. Since the split of Pulse Ultra in 2004 Dominic has worked along side Rockstar Supernova winner Lukas Rossi with whom he co-wrote the hit track Headspin.
He is currently working on his debut solo project and the first part of an ongoing series entitled The Chronicles of Israfel. Writing was completed within 6 months of its inception, and the inclusion of older brother Vincent on piano and keyboards and long time friend Joey Bastone on drums, helped solidify the groundwork for a brilliant album.
The story is based around The Starborn Child Israfel, whos journey of self discovery starts with him finding his true inner self and the secrets of his past. Drawing influences from violent Japanese anime the sound of the album in full of aggressive guitar driven epics showcasing Cifarellis musical and songwritting talent. The diversity of musical influences along with the vision of Cifarelli results in a multiplicity of guitar styles and a truly unique sounding album.
