DEATHCHAIN „Deaththrash Assault”
Deaththrash Assault is a most fitting album title for bullet-belted metallers, DeathChain because these Fins play a hybrid style of death metal and thrash akin to Swedish bands like THE CROWN, DEFLEASHED, SWORDMASTER, and WITCHERY. Upon first listen, it is easy to assume this group is from Sweden.
XASTHUR/LEVIATHAN „Split”
The United States proudly carries on the tradition of grim black metal once confined to frozen Scandanavian grounds. Moribund is the figurehead for this modern movement, and two of its most prominent acts are LEVIATHAN and XASTHUR.

NEFILIM „Zoon”
First time I listened to this band was thanks to Headbangers Ball with the fabulous video of the song Penetration. I was completely satisfied with since I like industrial metal a lot; the song represents very good what the album carry on: a combination of industrial elements, metal and a dose of dark mistery.
ATHEIST „Unquestionable Presence”
Second effort of these pioneers of progressive death metal, this album marks a clear evolution of the band obtaining a more unique sound. Away almost completely from the classical thrash riffs and rhythms, this album shows more complex arrangements and mastership of all musicians involved, remarking the work of the drums, with a jazzier style that was a surprising innovation at the time (even today).

ATHEIST „Piece of Time”
A band that is considered pioneer of progressive death metal. This album is a great thrash metal album with complex arrangements all the way, there are some grooves too that makes this album more exciting than other thrash albums of the time.
BEYOND DAWN „Pity love”
This is one album that was not very promoted in 1995, compared with other bands alike in that time like My Dying Bride (the angel and the dark river), Anathema (the silent enigma) or Moonspell (wolfheart); Likewise, this album have all the feeling, melancholy and melody of that mentioned bands involving haunted melodies that were carved at that time as gothic metal. Beyond Dawn offer this ambiance and differencing with the other bands mainly in the vocal department, on the clear tones specifically (guttural voices are similar to moonspell old albums), and the use of trumpets (songs with these arrangements bring to mind Pink Floyd (Never (a bygone) and Daughter Sunday as examples)).
