HUMAN FORTRESS – Interview with Volker Trost

Just a while ago Human Fortress released their second full length album called “Defenders of the Crown”. It consists of twelve pure epic power metal compositions which encourage the listener to dream and travel back in time. The discussion below is mainly about the album, which it certainly worth checking out, but you can also find out some interesting things about Human Fortress, a really special band hailing from Germany. http://www.human-fortress.com

GRAVE DIGGER – Interview with Manni

For 20 years, Grave Digger stands as a true German Heavy Metal band. „Rheingold”- the new Digger's album shows them as a band inspired by R. Wagner's opera. Pure, heavy and melodic. Since „The Grave Digger” LP, and Uwe Lulis' departure, we can hear Manni Schmidt playing in GD. Luckily he has found some time to answer few questions about the band, their brand new release, and his adventures in Rage.

STURM – Interview with Thomas

If one has read the review of STURM, he possibly wonders what made me do the interview. The answer is quite simple – I don't know! It's possible I've heard a voice inside me telling me to go and speak with Thomas. The second possibility is that their music – though boring – made me feel nice and since I had a lot of high voltage in the bottle… I regret that we'be been both drunk and the interview turned out like that. After all I'm intrigued by the band for I ask myself: is their latest release the best they can do or just a joke entitled “Fragmente”?
Hi Thomas! When was the last time You were interviewed for a polish magazine? Or maybe here in Poland people are not willing to present STRUM in their zines?

7th NEMESIS – Interview with the band

It's been a little while before I can finally present you with an interview with 7th NEMESIS. First, I couldn't make myself sit down and write the questions to Alex – I guess it's him who has answered them… Then the contact adress has changed and the call “The best chestnuts on Pigal Square” didn't fit the response “Suzanna likes them in autumn” anymore. So Your J-23 agent was forced to hide himself in the basement for Brunner kept on follwing him… Anyway, if the interview appears online tomorrow, I'll be in Top 10!

ONE STEP BEYOND – Interview with Mad Matt Spencer

THE ORIGIN OF THE ORIGINALITY
a talk with Mad Matt Spencer (bass, vocals, fx)
of One Step Beyond

“Combining their eclectic influences from such styles as Grind, Rock, Dub Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Thrash, Ska, Punk, Industrial and Hip-Hop they have forged a unique sound and vision amongst the hordes of imitators currently congesting the music world.” – that's how they describe their music. I couldn't say more. The sound of One Step Beyond is really one (or even two) step beyond the others. If you have an open mind and if you aren't stuck in one specified genre without paying attention at any other music, then you have to listen to what these Australians prepared…

THALARION – Interview with Juraj

It's a weird musical world of THALARION! I don't mean they play some schizo fucked up music – they don't! I mean what they can do to the listener. Well, what can you tell about the band having listened to any of their records? You love them and hate them at the same time!!! OK, just skip the introduction and get to the interview… By the way: I forgot to ask Juraj who actually set THALARION…

EDENBRIDGE – Interview with Sabine Edelsbacher

After the metal boom in the late 90, appeared lots of new metal bands. Dozens of them sound as Helloween clones, but some, have their own, unique style. “Angelic Bombast Metal” played by Edenbridge shows metal inspired by musicals and symphonic music. A perfect combination of these genres made Edenbridge one of the best bands on the metal scene these days. I have asked the person who is responisble for the “angelic” side of Edenbridge about new album and few more things . Ladies and gentleman…. Sabine Edelsbacher!!!

THE MONOLITH DEATHCULT – Interview with Sjoerd

I recently had the pleasure of interviewing Sjoerd Visch, drummer of the brutal Dutch Death Metal band “MONOLITH DEATHCULT”. If you're not familiar with “MONOLITH DEATHCULT”,they are defiantly a band that you should check out if you're a Death Metal fan. Their style is unique in that they use a 3 man vocal attack on your senses. They are very experienced in that they have also lead their talents in bands such as “ALTAR”, “DEADHEAD”, “ETERNAL CONSPIRACY”, “EXPOSING INNARDS”, and “SLAYNE”. I hope you enjoy the following interview and I hope that after you have finished reading it, you head out to your local record store and pick up their brutal release “The Apotheosis”. Enjoy

PATOLOGICUM – Interview with Piotr (voc.)

What you should know about PATOLOGICUM is that they have a great sense of humor. Many times I’ve almost laughed myself to death by what Piotr wrote to me. I laughed at myself. An accurate answer from somebody who has something to say isn’t a shame. But that had to be this way when two people, listening to different kind of music, meet. Me – a fan of thrash/death music and him, who loves brutal grind/death. But I tell you I learned a lot about this music and now have a different view on it. Well, some people listen to it, so as a journalist (and a curious man) I wanted to understand what is so attracting in this music. It is nice to listen to what a person says about a thing, but what’s the place you reach to gain best information? A source. A root. I don’t know what I was waiting for. Grind was there, existing as something marginal and unimportant. I thought I would never get interested in it. But I have to admit that Piotr did o a lot of great job, for now I have more respect for those who play grind. And that’s the second reason you should read this interview.

TANKARD – Interview with Gerre, voc.

I promised myself, that I should make an interview with some band, which significantly influenced my metal-development and which you will not read about in other Polish magazines or websites. Do you still remember this band? On turn of 80's and 90's I lost my mind for them. What a thrash it was!!! Aggression and fun!!! That was what I liked in TANKARD and ANTHRAX most. Old metalheads with pleasure recall beer bibbers, and I encourage young metalheads to learn something about what they stand for, because in the whole wide world there is no band which drank more beers than TANKARD!!! Hahahahaha…
