DIVINE EVE „Vengeful and Obstinate”

Although Texan band DIVINE EVE has been around since 1992, their name probably isn't familiar to most of us. Until 1995 they recorded two self-financed demos and an EP called “As the Angels Weep,” but then DIVINE EVE disbanded and the leader Xan Hammack moved to California to record the debut album under a new name CRIMSON RELIC, while the other members turned to their own projects.

TENET „Sovereign”

The odd bit of trivia about Tenet is they formed back in 1996 but never got off the ground due to conflicting schedules and near-zero commitment, besides all the members being busy with Strapping Young Lad at the time. With Strapping out of commission for some years now, founder Glen Avelais has finally brought his side project to life and what an awesome resuscitation it is, considering the talent who fill Tenet’s ranks.

NIFELHEIM „“Envoy of Lucifer””

NIFELHEIM has been carrying the torch of old school black metal for eighteen years. Their “Unholy Death” demo (1993) and self-titled full-length (1995) continued the tradition laid down by early black metal groups such as BATHORY, SODOM and early KREATOR, while adding a touch of the newer black metal style invented by Scandinavian groups such as MAYHEM and DARKTHRONE.
