ROGER POWELL „Blue Note Ridge”

The Canadian label Unicorn Digital proudly presents the album of legendary keyboardsman – Roger Powell, which played on the compositions of UTOPIA, DAVID BOWIE and MEAT LOAF… And all materials from the label contain the music inspired by the spirit of progressive music. And unfortunately in this case the music is not connected with Metal completely… However I hope, that the readers of Metal Centre will be more indulgent and sensitive for the sounds from the disc…

DOMMIN „ “Love is Gone” ”

Crooner of lovelorn tales, Kristofer Dommin has spent the whole of this decade carefully choosing each member and compiling a list of songs to complete his Roadrunner Records debut “Love is Gone.” Said album emanates tear-stained vocal dramatics and the type of gloomy goth-based electronics suitable for a soundtrack such as “The Lost Boys.” Each of the fourteen tracks feature Kristofer Dommin’s painful reflections on the ugly transcendental state of love.

CROWN THE LOST „“Blind Faith Loyalty””

CROWN THE LOST makes a spectacular entrance with their first Cruz Del Sur release “Blind Faith Loyalty.” In 2006, the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based act issued “Reverence Dies Within,” but this came without any aid from a label. I have not heard the previous album, so I have no insight on how this one compares, but “Blind Faith Loyalty” showcases a group with serious chops.

CYNIC „“Traced in Air””

CYNIC member’s Sein Reinert (drums) and Paul Masvidal (guitar) originally gained fame for their precise musicianship on the DEATH album “Human.” Two years after that monumental release, with the help of Jason Gobel (guitar and guitar synth) and Sean Malone (bass), the two released “Focus” through their own creation, CYNIC. Said album proved a groundbreaking record, combining progressive rock with death metal.
